What is it?

Quartz is an engineered stone that resembles natural stone, but with a more consistent pattern and color. It is comprised of 93% quartz and 7% polyester resin. Quartz is one of the Earth's hardest minerals, making quartz counters tops some of the most durable. According to the Mohs scale of hardness, quartz, like diamonds, is harder than steel.

This material is non-porous, making it extremely resistant to mold or bacteria growth, scratches and common sources of stains in the kitchen such as juice, oil, wine, tomato, coffee. It also has a similar level of heat resistance to Granite. Quartz is easy to clean and maintain, no sealer required.
